An open evening for prospective students is taking place at Lichfield’s Nether Stowe School next month.

The event, which will be held at the school in St. Chad’s Road, Lichfield, is open to students who will enter Year 7 or Year 12 in September 2023.

The open evening will take place on 6 October at 5.30pm. Headteacher presentations will be given at 6pm and 7pm, with prospective students and their families encouraged to attend.

The secondary school, which is part of the respected Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) and benefitted from a multimillion pound extension last year, is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of visitors through its doors.

Headteacher Glyn Langston Jones (pictured) said: “We’re delighted to welcome these children, young people and their families to Nether Stowe to find out more about our fantastic school.

“This is an opportunity to take a tour of the school, to learn more about us, to talk to staff and to meet current students. In addition, visitors will be able to take part in ‘hands-on’ educational activities.

“I will also be giving two talks and there will be an opportunity for people to ask questions throughout the evening.

“Nether Stowe has much to offer children and young people in our community, including high quality teaching and learning, state-of-the-art facilities, superb pastoral care, and a range of enrichment opportunities.

“We are proud of all we have to offer and I look forward to meeting our next generation of students and their families on the 5th October, as we showcase the very best of our school.”
