Prospective John Willmott School students and their families are invited to an open evening event next week.

The open evening will take place at the school, on Reddicap Heath Road, Sutton Coldfield, on Wednesday 5 October at 6pm to 8pm, with headteacher presentations at 6pm and 7pm. The event is for students who will enter Year 7 in September 2023.

The secondary school, which is part of the respected Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of visitors through its doors.

Acting headteacher Nicola Gould said:

“We cannot wait to welcome these children, young people and their families to our open evening. This is a chance for prospective students and their families to find out more about our wonderful school. This will include tours, talks and practical curriculum based demonstrations, such as dance, programming, science experiments, and cookery – which will give visitors a flavour of all our school has to offer.

“Staff and students will also be on hand to talk to visitors and to answer any questions. I will also be giving two talks at 6pm and 7pm.

“At John Willmott School, we are proud of our vision, standards and priorities. Our children and young people benefit from a wide range of opportunities, high quality teaching and learning and supportive pastoral care.

“We look forward to meeting everybody on 5 October and inviting them to experience the very best of our school.”
