Staff and students at The Coleshill School are celebrating after scooping the ‘BTEC School of the Year 2022’ Bronze Award.

The BTEC Awards is an annual event that recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication of BTEC learners, tutors, teachers, schools and colleges around the world.

The Coleshill School, which is part of the respected Arthur Terry Learning Partnership, has been recognised by Pearson BTEC and awarded third place nationally for its impressive work.

Natasha Blunt, Associate Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, is The Coleshill School’s vocational/BTEC lead. She said: “A huge congratulations to everybody at our school on this prestigious national award. The competition was fierce this year and I am extremely proud of our achievements.

“This award recognises our school’s growth in BTEC to more than 20 subjects, and our outstanding BTEC annual reviews and excellent standard verification and moderation processes.

“Our dedicated colleagues work so hard to achieve outstanding results for our students. This is a true team award and encompasses everybody’s proactivity, tenacity and willingness to support one another and our students. To be recognised on a national scale is phenomenal.”

Commenting on The Coleshill School’s latest success, Head of School, Rebecca Brindley, said: “We are delighted to have won this award. It is testament to the hard work, commitment and resilience of our staff and students, who have worked extremely hard to see our BTEC go from strength to strength.  We are proud of them all!”
